Two TV sets show four men and four women. Screens are split and pairings change erraticly. The men move their lips synchronously to the sentence „Yes, we are not lucky in the moment“, the women dub the sentence „I have the right of my own love story“.
The sentences come from a german TV-series.

402 cuttings of conversations from lip-synced movies are not longer than 4 seconds. In the installation, the sound-cuttings are replayed in random/repeat mode. On the display, the sentences can be read, so the randomness of the playing becomes evident. Female voices are played on the right channel, male ones on the left.

The scenery congeals to a state between surreality and reality. From few material an atmosphere of desire and refusal, loss and fulfillment emerges.

The window drawings show sex-scenes between men and women. In front of the windows there is a transparency, on it a one-stroke-drawing of several babies. The transparency is longer than ceiling height and rolled-up on the floor.

Diploma project

An accessable soundproofed room offers one seat in either of two corridors. These corridors contain loudspeakers that ring out a female voice. Depending on the recipient’s position either left or right audio-channel are easier to understand. The outer walls bear
paintings and drawings from my university years in Braunschweig.

In one room there is a meadow in the form of an island. Bird twitter rings out from CD. Sky and sun show up through the window.

7 Video-players send the same video signal to 14 screens, showing a pivoting plaster-mask.

A simple MDF-Socket with a candle holder is optical and practical footing of this work. Over the headphones, a male voice rings out, a female one over another one. Either of them talk in a fictitious language. The underscore music (Ravel, Pavane for dead princess) is identical for both.

The entire mobile is attached to a thread and is divided again and again, until a pair or a single balls forms the ending. With great sensivity it reacts to contingencies.
